Rivers State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the discovery of the bodies of a man and a young girl, believed to be under 18, inside a Toyota Corolla car in Mgboushimini community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesperson for the command, ASP Blessing Agabe, confirmed the incident in a text message on Monday, stating that an investigation had begun to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths and determine their cause.
Agabe, however, did not provide further details on the incident as of the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, reports indicated that the deceased man’s wife was pregnant and had allegedly confronted the young girl over her relationship with her husband.
The incident occurred as the couple was reportedly preparing for their white wedding, scheduled for November 2026, after completing their traditional marriage rites.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear as the police investigation continues.
