The senatorial candidate of Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) for Oyo North, Hon. Shina Peller, is set to launch a free healthcare programme for residents of the senatorial district on Friday, October 23, as part of efforts to expand access to medical services in the area.
The initiative, known as Pellercare 360 Community Impact Tour, is expected to cover all 13 local government areas (LGAs) in the district, providing residents with medical consultations, screenings, treatments and prescribed medications at no cost.
The programme was initiated by Peller, who is the Ayedero of Yorubaland, under the theme, “Alaafia De Ile Wa”.
According to a statement issued by Kola Popoola, Chief Press Secretary, Office of Hon. Shina Peller, the initiative is designed to address gaps in rural healthcare delivery by taking medical personnel, diagnostic equipment and treatment services to underserved communities.
The first phase of the programme will begin on Friday at Ojude Oba Market Square in Iseyin while the second leg will hold on Saturday, October 24, at Ogbomoso Town Hall in Ogbomoso North.

The Women’s Health Pavilion will offer breast examinations, pregnancy assessments, fertility counselling, health records and referrals.
The Men’s Health Corner will provide screenings for hypertension and diabetes, cardiovascular checks and preventive health education.
The programme will also feature the Elders Honour Clinic for senior citizens aged 60 and above, with priority consultations, while the Child Health Festival will provide paediatric screenings, deworming interventions, nutritional assessments and health education for parents.
The statement added that participants would receive prescribed medications free of charge, describing Pellercare 360 as part of Peller’s proposed health policy agenda for Oyo North, adding that the initiative reflected his vision for grassroots healthcare delivery ahead of his planned bid for the Senate in 2027.
