Naira crash: Cubana Chiefpriest laments spending ‘N1 million’ on a 12-hour cab ride in the UK

Nigerian socialite and businessman, Cubana Chiefpriest, has taken to social media to bitterly lament spending N1 million on cab fare in the UK.

The celebrity barman, in a post shared on his Instastories, disclosed that he paid £50 per hour for a 12-hour trip on Monday, January 29.

According to him, when he converted the total amount spent to Naira, he was surprised to discover that he had spent N1 million just on transportation.

He wrote,

“Yesterday I pay cab 600 pounds just for 12 hrs
50 pounds per hour
I use one million plus enter cab”

His post has sparked a huge discourse on social media, with some accusing him of showing off while others raised alarm about the alarming depreciation of the naira.

In the black market, the naira has nearly reached an exchange rate of N1,500 to a dollar and N1,800 to pounds.
