A hilarious moment occurred after a lady’s friend attempted to pray for her in Yoruba after she moved into a new apartment.
The friend wanted to celebrate the milestone by offering prayers and blessings for peace, prosperity, and success in her new home. However, there was one problem: her friend was not very fluent in Yoruba.
Determined to deliver the prayer in the language anyway, the friend began speaking confidently, unaware that some of the words weren’t coherent.
As the prayer progressed, the lady realized that what was supposed to be a blessing sounded more like a curse. Shocked by the statement during the prayer, the lady reacted, and they burst into laughter, struggling to contain themselves as the prayer session quickly turned into a comedy show.
While some interpreted her friend’s intended prayer, others joked that the friend deserved credit for trying, even if the prayer nearly turned into something entirely different from the blessing she had in mind.
