Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have accounted for the overwhelming majority of votes in the ongoing Osun governorship election, according to figures available from uploaded polling unit results on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
Data obtained from Yiaga Africa’s Election Result Analysis Dashboard (ERAD) as of the time of this report showed that Accord secured 52.1 per cent of the votes from results uploaded so far, while the APC polled 44.6 per cent. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) recorded 1.8 per cent, with other political parties sharing the remaining percentage.
The information was sourced from Yiaga Africa’s Election Result Analysis Dashboard (ERAD), an independent digital platform designed to track, audit and visually analyse polling unit results uploaded to INEC’s IReV.

As of the time of this report, INEC had uploaded more than 87.48 per cent of the results from the Osun governorship election to the IReV portal.
Tribune Online reports that voters across the 30 local government areas of Osun State turned out on Saturday to elect a governor who will lead the state for the next four years.
The election is being contested by incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji and African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Najeem Salaam, among other candidates.
A further check by Tribune Online at the time of filing this report showed that results from 3,292 polling units had been uploaded to the portal.
The uploaded results represent 87.48 per cent of the state’s 3,763 polling units.
