Following gridlocked between Lokoja and Abuja highway, hundreds of passengers have been left stranded since Thursday night up till Saturday.
Nigerian Tribune correspondent who visited the highway discovered that many motorists got stuck since Thursday as a result of a bad road and motor accident in Bada.
Some of the passengers who spoke said they are on their way from Kaduna heading to Imo state on Thursday but unfortunately they got stranded as a result of the gridlock.
Most passengers had to drop from their vehicles and look for an alternative to their destination as commercial motorcycle riders now make big business from the gridlock.
Passengers heading across the River Niger bridge from Lokoja were charged over N6000 naira by the commercial motorcycle riders, as they also charged the same amount for those who are coming from the Abuja axis and want to take a motorcycle across the bridge.
However members of the Federal Road Safety Commission, some security agencies and good Samaritans are working round the clock to bring the situation under control.
