The Action Democratic Party presidential candidate, Amb Aliyu Bin Abbas, has been formally presented to supporters in Kano ahead of the 2027 general election, with his backers describing him as a credible alternative capable of repositioning Nigeria.
The unveiling, organised by the Aliyu Bin Abbas Organisation on Wednesday at Bristol Palace Hotel, Kano, drew political supporters, youth groups, women, professionals, entertainers and other stakeholders.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the ADP presidential candidate, Jacob Dickson, said the gathering marked the public launch of Abbas’ presidential campaign movement.
According to the statement, the event was attended by prominent personalities who expressed support for the ADP standard-bearer and his vision of a united and prosperous Nigeria.
The National Convener of the Aliyu Bin Abbas Organisation and popular singer, producer and filmmaker, Ali Jita, said he established the organisation out of his conviction that Nigeria deserved visionary leadership.
He urged Nigerians to support Abbas, whom he described as a leader capable of driving national development and restoring public confidence in governance.
Speaking at the event, Abbas described the unveiling as the beginning of a movement inspired by hope and a shared commitment to building a better Nigeria.
He said, “Yesterday marked the birth of a movement driven by hope, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to building a New Nigeria.
“The overwhelming support, enthusiasm, and solidarity demonstrated at the event reaffirm that the dream of a prosperous and united Nigeria is alive in the hearts of our people.”
The ADP presidential candidate also commended Jita for his support and commitment to the movement.
“We express our deepest appreciation and profound gratitude to the renowned artist and National Convener, Malam Ali Jita, for his exceptional courage, unwavering commitment, and steadfast belief in our collective quest to birth a New Nigeria,” Abbas said.
According to the statement, Abbas said the entertainer’s support had inspired many Nigerians, especially young people, to believe that positive change was possible.
He added, “Together, with faith in God Almighty and the collective determination of Nigerians, we shall build a nation where justice prevails, opportunities abound, and every citizen can live with dignity, peace, and hope.”
