The Governor of Ondo State, Fortunate Aiyedatiwa, has directed the caretaker chairmen of the 18 native authorities areas and 33 native council growth areas within the state to vacate their seats.
The suspension was contained in a letter by the Ministry of Native Authorities and Chieftaincy Affairs and signed by Alonge Adewale.
The letter learn, “It has come to the discover of the Ministry of Native Authorities and Chieftaincy Affairs that regardless of the suspension of all just lately appointed Caretaker Committee members for Native Authorities and Native Council Growth Areas within the State by a Court docket of competent jurisdiction, some people in these former positions are nonetheless parading themselves in that posts.

The letter requested the suspended Caretaker Chairmen to promptly hand over all belongings and properties of the LGAs/LCDAs.
