President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on October 14 inaugurate the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, with former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Dr Betta Edu and other party chieftains expected to play key roles.
The inauguration is scheduled to take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, disclosed this on Friday after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa. He briefed State House correspondents on preparations for the forthcoming campaign.
Yari said Tinubu had approved the proposed campaign timetable, with activities scheduled to begin with a rally in Kaduna on October 24, before moving to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Ahead of the formal inauguration, First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, working with the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, and other members of the directorate, has commenced grassroots mobilisation of women across the country in support of the President’s re-election bid.

Edu and her team have set a target of mobilising 40 million women’s votes for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket through a nationwide engagement strategy covering 176,846 communities and polling-unit structures across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening the party’s engagement with women at the grassroots through community outreach, mobilisation networks and communication of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0.
The October 14 inauguration is expected to formalise the campaign council’s operations and bring together party leaders and stakeholders to coordinate activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The inauguration will precede the planned October 24 rally in Kaduna, which is expected to mark the start of the President’s nationwide re-election campaign.
