The Founder of the Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has condemned the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) over claim that Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fefeyin of Mercyland Deliverance Ministry is not real and that he was only using the agency’s name to deceive Nigerians, concerning his miracle water and soap.
Prophet Ikuru gave this condemnation on Wednesday in a release, copy of which he made available to newsmen in Lagos, describing such attack as insulting, denigrating, derogatory and totally unacceptable, to the body of Christ, even as he quickly demanded an apology from NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye for the insult.
Ikuru vowed that failure to offer the apology, would make him “to lead a protest of men of God” against the NAFDAC boss across the 36 states.
“I’m not going to sit back and watch NAFDAC make a fool of the body of Christ. Prof. Adeyeye will have to apologize to the body of Christ or I will lead a protest of men of God against you across the 36 states of the federation because the attack on Mercyland Deliverance Ministry is an attack on all Christians in Nigeria. A prudent and judicious person will be very careful when handling religious matters,” he said.
The Founder of the Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, while demanding for an apology for the body of Christ, alleged that there were fake products, drugs, harmful drinks and food everywhere in the country, which NAFDAC had been very ineffective in discharging their duties to eradicate, occasioning untimely of many people dying on daily basis.
He maintained that NAFDAC lacked the power to regulate activities of clergymen and spiritual materials, saying that the agency is not a spiritual organization to play such a role.
“Who made NAFDAC god over spiritual materials and items, is NAFDAC a spiritual organisation?” Ikuru queried.
“They lack the power to regulate the activities of clergymen, it’s insulting, denigrating, derogatory and totally unacceptable, I’m not going to sit back and watch NAFDAC make a fool of the body of Christ,” he reiterated.
It would recalled that NAFDAC said on Sunday that it had sealed the Globod Table Water factory for allegedly aiding and abetting the production the affected “miracle” products as it commenced investigations into the products sold to the public by a Delta State-based church, the Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries.
NAFDAC, in the statement signed by its Director General, Prof. Adeyeye, NAFDAC said none of the products advertised and sold was registered with the agency as claimed by Prophet Fefeyin of Mercyland Deliverance Ministry.
The agency, therefore, advised the public to stop patronising any of the products while it continued investigating the organisation’s activities concerning products reported to have been manufactured and sold by it.
