A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Emmanuel Ogidi, says the party will soon punish erring members, particularly Federal Capital Territory, FCT, minister, Nyesom Wike.
Ogidi made this assertion on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television, where he spoke on the crisis rocking the party, which he described as internal sabotage.
According to him, the party has moved on from the demands made by Wike’s camp.
He insisted that PDP is owned by the people and not by any individual or group.
“You can’t serve two masters. He (Wike) is supposed to be serving us in PDP but he is serving APC. This is a threat to democracy. APC is using him to destroy democracy and it’s deliberate but we are very conscious of that and very soon you will hear what will happen,” Ogidi said.
The PDP chieftain said the party will no longer tolerate indiscipline. He warned that those undermining the party will face sanctions, adding that reconciliation does not mean there will be chaos.
He insisted that despite defections, court cases and disagreements over zoning, the PDP remains strong and indestructible, and is focused on making its convention successful as it prepares for 2027.
