The Dr John Hassan and Mrs Florence Hassan Health Care Foundation has entered into a collaboration with the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), to provide health insurance coverage and essential healthcare services for individuals facing financial barriers.
Speaking during the official launch of the initiative which was held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, the event coordinator, Mr. Oluwatosin Ifalola, said the initiative was borne out of the passion of a deep commitment to serve the community and ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to health care.
He said: We are gathered here for a special purpose to launch an initiative purposely to serve our community and ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to health care. This project seeks to bridge that gap and allow individuals and families to receive proper medical attention without the worry of financial burden.”
In his remarks, the foundation’s founder shared his commitment to ensuring that health is accessible to everyone, especially those who cannot afford it.
Hassan said:“Health is a fundamental need. While I would have preferred to undertake this mission quietly, the scope of this challenge demands a platform where all of us can work together to bring hope and healing to those in need.”
Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary, OYSHIA, Dr. Shola Akande, represented by the Director of Marketing and Quality Assurance, Mr. Stephen Dauda, commended the foundation’s innovative approach to expanding health insurance coverage in Oyo State, describing it as a remarkable model for making healthcare accessible to more people in the state.
The event concluded with a stirring message from Dr. Hassan, painting a vision of a future where healthcare knows no bounds and compassion is woven into every layer of society.
