Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has announced her return to the music industry months after mourning the death of her husband, Michael Ndika.
The singer made the announcement through posts shared on her social media pages, where she revealed that her upcoming single was inspired by a personal period marked by love, loss and healing.
Explaining her decision to return, Niniola said Michael was not only her husband but also her best friend, confidant, pillar and business partner.

She said that although she is still grieving, she believes he would have wanted her to continue making music.
“Some feelings are too deep for words. So I put them in a song. There are no words for a moment like this, but I know he’d want me to keep singing, to keep showing up, and to keep sharing the gift we’ve always believed in,” she wrote.
