According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the operation took place at about 11:19pm. on October 16, 2026, at Yan Taburmi village in Falgore Forest, where the victim’s family had reportedly gone to deliver the ransom.
The troops, working with other security agencies and local hunters, reportedly ambushed the suspects at the payment point.
