Lagos State University graduate, Kehinde Ozein Hamzat, has joined Turkish football club Fişekspor ahead of the new season.
Kehinde, a winger, graduated from LASU in 2026 after studying Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education under the university’s Faculty of Education.
He previously obtained a diploma before proceeding with his full-time undergraduate studies at the university.
The 2026 graduate also represented the LASU male football team, the Trail Blazers, during his time at the institution.
Kehinde subsequently played for several grassroots football teams in Lagos and its environs before securing a move to Turkey.
Fişekspor announced his arrival in a post on its Instagram page on Saturday, describing the signing as part of its squad planning for the new season.
“Welcome to Fişekspor, Kehinde! As part of our squad planning for the new season, Nigerian footballer Kehinde Ozein Hamzat has joined Fişekspor,” the club said.
The Turkish club said it believed Kehinde’s “talent, energy and fighting spirit” would contribute to the team.
“Welcome to the family, Kehinde! Together, towards new goals. Together, stronger!” the club added.
The club, established in 1973 and based in the Gaziosmanpaşa district of Istanbul, competes in the 1. Amatör Lig, Group 9, during the 2026/27 season.
