Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has denied any connection to anti-government protests, reaffirming his commitment to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Gusau by his chief of staff, Abdullahi Abdulkarim Tsafe, Senator Yari described the allegations as false, mischievous, and politically motivated.
The statement reads in parts “Our attention has been drawn to a laughable and entirely fabricated report alleging that Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari is sponsoring or financing protests against the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Ordinarily, such a baseless and ill-conceived allegation would not deserve a response. However, in view of the growing circulation of the falsehood and the need to set the record straight, we consider it necessary to address the matter.

“Let it be stated categorically and without ambiguity that Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari has no connection whatsoever with any planned protest against the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Senator Yari’s relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is neither opportunistic nor transactional. It is a relationship built on mutual respect, political conviction and a shared commitment to the progress and stability of Nigeria.
“Indeed, President Tinubu himself has, on several occasions, publicly acknowledged Senator Yari’s loyalty, support and contributions to the success of the All Progressives Congress and the broader Renewed Hope agenda.
“Senator Yari is a statesman of considerable standing, who has never been associated with political frivolities, attention-seeking antics or underhanded schemes.
“The Senator remains focused on his legislative responsibilities.He will not be distracted by the antics of political merchants who thrive on falsehood and sensationalism”. The statement concluded.
