This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Monday
Governor Yusuf said the decision was taken to immortalise the late Dr Mahmoud Baffa Yola, a seasoned politician and administrator who served Kano State in various capacities and made significant contributions to public service.
The governor noted that Mahmoud Baffa Yola was among the pioneers who introduced the concept of adult education in Kano State, a development that expanded access to learning opportunities for thousands of citizens, which was later adopted by the Governor Rmi administration.

The governor further directed the Ministry of Health to immediately mobilise to implement the already approved renovation of the hospital and examine the requirements of medical equipment to the hospital to enhance healthcare service delivery.
