Arogidigba Global Journal had earlier reported that tension erupted at the airport on Saturday after suspected thugs reportedly attacked NDC supporters who had gathered to welcome the party’s governorship candidate.
Reacting to the incident, Nwomeh, in a post on his official Facebook page, questioned who authorised the political gathering at the international airport.

He asked, “Who organises a campaign rally at an airport, of all places?
“Who authorised a political party to hold a campaign rally at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu?

“Was it the police, Ministry of Aviation, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), or some other authority? Who gave the approval?
“Or did some political desperados and governorship wannabes simply take the law into their own hands, turning an international airport into a campaign rally ground?”
