Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has congratulated his Ekiti State counterpart, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his resounding victory in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
Inuwa Yahaya in a statement signed by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), described the landslide victory recorded by Governor Oyebanji and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a clear validation of the people’s trust, confidence and continued support for the party’s progressive leadership and governance.
The Gombe State Governor, who also served as a member of the APC Campaign Council for the Ekiti State governorship election, expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji would utilise the renewed mandate to consolidate on the remarkable achievements recorded during his first term in office.
“It is with immense pleasure that I heartily congratulate my good brother and friend, His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on his re-election for a second term in office,” Inuwa Yahaya stated.
He continued, “I have no doubt in my mind that this fresh mandate presents another opportunity to further build on the solid foundation of development and prosperity already laid in Ekiti State under your purposeful leadership.”
“I pray Almighty God to continue to guide and bless you with greater wisdom, strength and good health to accomplish the noble work you commenced four years ago for the progress and wellbeing of the people of Ekiti State.”

The Governor also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for providing visionary and purposeful leadership that has continued to strengthen the APC and position the party for greater electoral successes in 2027 and beyond.
He also praised the Chairman and members of the Ekiti State Governorship Election Campaign Council for their commitment, hard work and strategic engagement throughout the campaign period, which culminated in the party’s victory at the polls.
The Governor noted that the outcome of the election further demonstrates the dominance of the APC across the country and the confidence Nigerians continue to repose in the party’s leadership and developmental agenda.
