Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on Thursday joined his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for a roadshow and campaign rally ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The rally comes amid heightened political activities in the state, with Governor Adeleke seeking a second term in office.
A video circulating on social media captured the moment Davido and the governorโs son, Sina Adeleke, popularly known as Shina Rambo, made their way through a large crowd before climbing over railings to join the governor on the campaign stage.
Dressed in a traditional jalabiya, Davido was seen struggling to get over the barricade before receiving assistance from supporters already on the stage. Shina Rambo also received help before both eventually joined the governor.
On the campaign stage, Governor Adeleke was seen dancing and singing along to Davidoโs hit song, โFeel,โ one of the standout tracks from the singerโs Grammy-nominated album, Timeless.
Davido embraced his uncle upon reaching the stage, after which the duo entertained supporters with an energetic dance, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

The display of their close relationship quickly became one of the most talked-about moments from the rally, with supporters applauding their enthusiasm.
The roadshow comes days after Davido appealed for a peaceful and credible governorship election, urging voters to reject violence, intimidation, and electoral interference, and encouraging residents to exercise their democratic rights peacefully.
Governor Adeleke, who is contesting for a second term on the platform of the Accord Party, will face the All Progressives Congress candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, in the August 15 governorship election. Political campaigns have intensified across the state as parties make final efforts to woo voters ahead of the poll.
