The City Boy Movement has perfected its strategy for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the election of other candidates of the party in Oyo State, with an emphasis on grassroots mobilisation of voters across the state’s 33 local government areas.
Speaking on behalf of the state director, Hon. Femi Onireti, Olumide Alli, at the inauguration of the local and state executive councils in Ibadan on Monday, urged members to put aside their individual interests and work for the collective interest of the movement.
According to him, the goal of the movement is to re-elect Tinubu and elect other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels in the 2027 elections.
He said the Tinubu-led administration had made its mark across all sectors of the economy and, as a result, deserved a second term in office.
“Tinubu in the past three years has touched all the sectors of the economy. He has continued with all the projects inherited from the previous administrations. Some have been completed while work is ongoing on others.
“In order to continue with the good works that were started in 2023, Nigerians should allow Tinubu to continue in office in 2027.”
In his address, the state chairman of the party, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, urged the CBM to use its numerical strength to the party’s advantage across the state’s local government areas.
“The nation’s population figure shows that the youth population is more than any other age group. That is why we are calling on you to maximise this to the advantage of the party in 2027.
“Other contending political parties cannot match our party in terms of the quality of the candidates we are presenting for the various elective positions.
“However, what we need to do is to work as a team and dissipate our energies on how to win the elections in 2027.”
