The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, on Tuesday submitted the names of six commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the State Assembly, Zape Upaa, stated this in a statement issued on Tuesday.
The governor, in the letter addressed to the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Alfred Aondoaver Emberga, said the move was intended to strengthen the State Executive Council and inject additional expertise and capacity into the administration.
The nominees include Hon Kuma Aii Yenge, Hon Roy Ashirga Terna, Hon Angwa Egbe Monday, Hon Elizabeth Onma Ogenyi, Hon Solomon Iorpev and Hon Nick Eworo.

The governor requested the House to give the nominees prompt and favourable consideration in accordance with its constitutional responsibility.
The statement stated that the submission of the commissioner nominees comes as the Alia administration continues to consolidate its cabinet and strengthen the machinery of government for effective service delivery across Benue State.
The nominees are expected to replace some of the executive council members who resigned to contest various elective offices during the primary elections.
