The Association of Mass Communication Graduates (AMACOG) ’92 Set of Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has mourned the death of the Publisher of Eagle Online, Mr. Dotun Oladipo, describing him as a highly valued member and friend of the association.
The veteran journalist, who died on Tuesday, August 25, was the Welfare Executive of the AMACOG ’92 Set.
In a statement on Wednesday signed by the President of the association, Adekunle Adeshina, the group said it was deeply grieved by the death of the journalist and publisher.
The association said Oladipo made significant contributions to journalism through his online news platform, Eagle Online, while also bringing “a unique warmth, kindness, and energy” to the association.
It described him as “a mobiliser per excellence, a motivator, a goal getter, and highly passionate,” noting that he deployed these qualities to promote the development of the association.
According to the statement, Oladipo’s commitment and dedication to the group would be greatly missed by members who had the opportunity to know and work with him.

The association extended its condolences to his family, particularly his widow, Mrs. Taiwo Oladipo, popularly known as Ayaba, saying it shared in the grief of his mother, wife, children and the entire Oladipo family.
“During this difficult time of sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our dear friend, especially his lovely widow, Mrs. Taiwo Oladipo, popularly known as Ayaba,” the statement said.
The association prayed that the family would find divine comfort and strength in the memories shared with the deceased, expressing confidence that Oladipo had gone to be with the saints, while praying for the repose of his soul.
