Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday attacked and abducted passengers travelling along Ifon/Owo road, killing the driver of the vehicle and a female passenger, while five others were whisked away.
It was gathered that the incident happened around 11pm on Friday when the gunmen numbering about 15 shot sporadically to stop the driver of the Toyota Sienna bus who tried to maneuver his way but was hit with the gunmen bullet.
Apart from the driver, a female passenger sitting with the driver who was coming from Anambra state was also killed by the gunmen, but two passengers escaped from the abductors.
It was, however, gathered that five of the passengers including a corps member were whisked into the forest by the gunmen.

According to a source in the community, who said the sporadic shooting of the criminals attracted the people of the town who rushed to the scene of the incident.
He stated that the kidnappers had fled the scene before the community could mobilize to the scene but only to meet the remains of the victim.
He said the corpses of the victims were taken to a private morgue in the town while the members of the community reported the incident to the police in town.
Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Fumilayo Odunlami, said the command cannot ascertain the exact number of abducted victims or those who escaped from the abductors.
She disclosed that policemen had been deployed to the forest around the area, and have been combing the forest to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued unhurt.
She said, “our men are fully on the ground, combing the forest to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued.”
