As an Excellence Scholarship applicant, you would need to demonstrate your academic achievements, as well as your demonstrated record of leadership, initiative and service to your school and/or community.
Benefits
As an Excellence Scholar, you will be awarded with 50% tuition remission for any single or approved combined undergraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program and Diploma entry students), and will commence your study in either the January, May or September semester.
Requirements
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:
- Be one of the following:
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident currently completing or completed* Year 12 (or equivalent) inside or outside of Australia, OR
- an Australian permanent resident completing or completed high school outside Australia, OR
- an international student completing or completed* Year 12 (or equivalent) in Australia, AND
- Achieve a minimum of ATAR92.00 or IB Diploma 34.
- Hold a demonstrated record of leadership, initiative and service to your school and/or community.
- Meet the standard entry requirements for your chosen program of study.
Year 12 completion must not be more than 12 months prior to program commencement and the applicant must not have commenced any post-secondary studies. For example, students who completed Year 12 (or equivalent) in December 2023, may be eligible to apply for this scholarship to commence in the January 2025 semester.
Application Documents
As an Excellence Scholarship applicant, you will be required to submit the following documents as part of your scholarship application:
- Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community. It is a COMPULSARY component of your application to use our Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence. You will need to complete all sections of the template provided and upload it as one Word or PDF document, to your scholarship application.
Your application CANNOT be considered if you provide your evidence in any other form, such as a personal CV or resume. - Academic responses to the following two questions:
1. Describe a situation where you were unsuccessful and what you learned from it. Write a 250-word academic response in paragraph form.
2. Working in teams is a valuable social and professional activity. Thinking about a successful team experience you were involved with, reflect on and discuss what made your team successful. Write a 250-word academic response in paragraph form.
Your responses should be entered into your scholarship application where prompted. We suggest drafting your responses in a Word document first and then copying and pasting them into the relevant fields in your application. - A school reference. As part of your application, you will be asked to provide your career advisor’s details so please have these on hand. We will follow-up with them directly to request a reference.
Method of Application
If you meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship, we encourage you to apply by following the below steps:
- Complete the Bond University Study Application Form to lodge your application for your chosen program. Learn more about this process.
- Complete the Bond University Scholarship Application Form. Simply use the same log-in details as used for your study application and enter ‘scholarship’ in the keyword field on the ‘Start an Application’ tab.
You must complete and submit your scholarship application before the application closing date as no late scholarship applications will be considered!
