In a bid to strengthen the state’s administration and further its development agenda, Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has granted approval for the nomination of 28 political appointees, including a Commissioner nominee.
The announcement of these nominations was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the Governor’s endorsement to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
According to the SSG, the selection of these appointees was based on their demonstrated track records of achievement, loyalty, experience, and dedication to public service.
Among the newly appointed officials are Shehu Umar Yerima Abdullahi, nominated as Commissioner, along with Abubakar Usman Barambu, Shu’aibu Iliya Kashere, Habu Ali Kalshingi, and Audu Dan Reme, all appointed as Special Advisers.
Additionally, the list includes Mu’azu Garba, J. B. Kwallams, Jamilu Ahmed Shabewa, Damina Sardauna, Ibrahim Cheldu, Mohammed T. Chiroma, and Chidebelu Cornelius Ewezie, who have been designated as Special Advisers for Inter-Community Relations.

Also appointed as Special Advisers are: Faruk Aliyu, Ibrahim Buba, Usman Jahun, Mamman Alkali (Legislative Matters), Shu’aibu Umar – Galadima, Garba Usman Dan Kafanchan and Haruna Mohammed Samanja.
The rest are: Umar Bello Yayaru – Deputy Chief of Staff (North), Bello Sulaiman – Deputy Chief of Staff (Central), Abubakar Dantata – Deputy Chief of Staff (South), Jamilu Ja’afaru – Director General (Federal Gov’t
Relation & Abuja Liaison Office), Garba Umaru – Senior Special Assistant (SSA I), Magret Bitrus – Senior Special Assistant (SSA I), Saleh Shu’aibu Galadima – Senior Special Assistant (SSA I), Yohanna Nahari – Senior Special Assistant (SSA I) and Ahmed Yusuf Gwadum – Senior Special Assistant (SSA I).
