I’m sure you know body hygiene is not only for females. As a man, you need to keep it fresh. Male body hygiene is as important as the opposite sex. If you are a man who usually makes excuses for yourself or pretends utmost hygiene does not really matter — you’re wrong. Maybe I shouldn’t have passed judgement. But, still, you’re wrong!
However, it’s very easy to switch from wrong to right. Yes, with these body hygiene, you should not ignore as a male:
1. Trim your nails regularly
A lot of guys are guilty of this. What could be the reason for keeping your nails so long? Is it a swag? What makes it worse is that some men don’t even keep their nails clean; from afar, you’ll be able to see how dirty it is. Trim your nails and always make sure it’s neat to prevent germs. You might not know, not taking proper care of nails could be irritating to others; above all, it won’t portray you well.
2. Change your underwear
There is no pride in wearing boxers and singlet multiple times. It can be very embarrassing when the crotch area of your boxers changes from its original colour. Try to have many underwear, so you can change it every day. Cleanliness of your inner wears shouldn’t be taken with levity; wash, and keep it dry at all times.
3. Shower regularly
After exercising or coming back from an outing, or a place of work, help your body by taking a shower. It is refreshing and would even make you more relaxed. Men usually have a strong body odour when sweating. I’m not capping! That’s why it is imperative to embrace regular showers as a way of good hygiene.
4. Don’t wear unwashed clothes
Make it a priority not to wear dirty clothes when going out. Even if you spray perfume on it, it won’t change the fact that it stinks; it is unhealthy for your skin. Wear clean cloth at all times so you won’t be inviting bacteria to yourself.
5. Wash your towel
Don’t keep your towel unwashed for too long. This would only make it a home for germs. Having more than one towel is not a bad idea because your body deserves cleanliness. To keep up with good body hygiene, it is important to always wash your towel and allow it to dry very well.
6. Clean your ear
Some people hardly take note of the dirt building up in their ears. Your ear is as important as other parts of the body. Your ear shouldn’t look oily; wash the outer area very well when bathing. The inner area shouldn’t be left out too. With every bit of carefulness, you can clean those dirts.
7. Wash your hands regularly
After engaging in dirty labour or any other unhygienic things, ensure to wash your hands. This isn’t something you should contemplate on. Make it a normal daily hygiene.
8. Brush and floss your teeth
Brushing your teeth should be one of the first things you do in the morning. Everyone does that, right? Let’s just agree and move on. So, don’t wait later in the day (after you must have eaten) to brush. It is ideal to brush your teeth twice a day and ensure you floss. Doing these, you’re eliminating bacteria and germs.
