The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye has assured residents of the ancient city that the people responsible for the killing of a pastor in the town will not go unpunished.
The monarch gave the assurance Monday evening.
Arogidigba Global Journal recalls that a pastor, identified as Evangelist Segun Adegboyega, was killed by some people suspected to be herdsmen who invaded his farm.
The incident, according to sources, occurred at the deceased’s farm located at Gege village, along Ogbomoso-Iseyin road on Monday.
It was learnt that three people have been arrested in connection with the killing of the pastor.
Arogidigba Global Journal gathered that the three suspects have been moved into the custody of the Owode Police headquarters.
The traditional ruler of the ancient city, Oba Olaoye while addressing the residents, assured the family of the clergyman that he will ensure justice is done.
The monarch, who spoke Monday evening, said that he would work with security agents to get justice for the family of the deceased.
The monarch said, “As your father, I wish to say, this is an ugly situation and it’s uncalled for.
“I have spoken my mind to the Area Commander (of Owode Police headquarters), who is here with me and I want to assure you that justice would be served.
“I equally sympathize with every one of you, may God continue to watch over you and the entire land of Ogbomoso.”
