The Managing Director of Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, has emphasised the importance of quality and problem-solved research works to the attainment of Nigeria’s political and socio-economic progress, advocating massive investment in this regard.
She expressed this view at the recent national education summit organised by the Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria (EWAN) in Lagos.
Speaking on the theme of the summit, “Research for National Development: Nigeria’s Internal Security in Focus,” Mrs Adeyemi, who was a special guest, explained that engaging in research work would bring about new ideas and inventions that would help tackle societal challenges and make life more meaningful to the generality of Nigerians.
Represented by Mr. Olajide Onigbogi, who is the Executive Head of the group of schools in charge of Administration, Strategy and Growth, Mrs Adeyemi commended EWAN for coming up with the forum and also for recognising Chrisland Schools’ commitment to quality education notwithstanding the challenges faced by educational institutions in the country.
She promised that Chrisland School would continue to sustain its core values of discipline, integrity, professionalism, love, and excellence among students and members of staff.
In another development, the school has announced a new TV show called ‘Shining Forth’ as an addition to its TV stable.
According to the school, the online TV show to be aired by the school TV on monthly basis will feature a blend of education and entertainment contents with students of the school taking centre stage as presenters.
The school in its latest newsletter disclosed that the duo of Jomiloju Olateru from Chrisland High School, Ikeja and Chioma Edward from Chrisland School, Opebi spearheaded the debut episode of the new TV show and that other students will join subsequently.
It added that the TV show which can be watched on the school’s YouTube and other social media handles is already gaining wider audience.
