Enyimba assistant coach Olanrewaju Yemi has revealed the team’s target of finishing among the top three in the first stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The People’s Elephant is currently in fifth place on the NPFL table with 29 points, three points behind second-placed Remo Stars.
Enyimba will battle with Shooting Stars in a matchday 19 fixture in Ibadan.
Yemi said the team is motivated to secure maximum points at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.
“The last two games have not gone our way but we are focused on the game against Shooting Stars and we are confident of getting the victory in Ibadan,” he told the club’s media.
“If we play the way we played against Plateau United and Katsina United, we will get something from the game in Ibadan.
“We know Shooting Stars are the favourites they are playing at home, they won their last game against Bayelsa United and drew against Sporting Lagos; they are in good form going into the game.
“We are Enyimba and we are motivated to end the first stanza in the top three so we won’t be derailed with the last two results.”
