Nollywood faith-based film Agbara Nla: The Return has grossed ₦408.3m at the Nigerian box office, becoming the second-highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2026, after Blessing Uzzi’s Call of My Life.
Nile Entertainment announced the milestone in an Instagram post on Monday, describing the film as the “No. 1 title for four consecutive weekends”.
In a flyer accompanying the announcement, the distributor listed the film as the “highest-grossing film ever released in October” and the “highest-grossing faith-based title of all time”.
The flyer also described Agbara Nla: The Return as the “2nd highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2026”, with its total box-office earnings displayed as ₦408.3m.
In the caption, the distributor wrote, “₦408.3 MILLION AND STILL MAKING HISTORY!”
It added, “Thank you Nigeria, this is YOUR victory!”
The company further stated that the film “continues its historic run”, adding that it was still showing in cinemas nationwide.
The film was directed by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye.
With more than ₦900m in box-office earnings, Call of My Life currently ranks as the highest-grossing Nollywood film among titles released in 2026.
PUNCH Online had reported that Agbara Nla grossed ₦354.5m at the Nigerian box office following its release in cinemas on October 1, according to Nile Entertainment.
The latest figure represents an increase of ₦53.8m from the previously reported earnings.
The film, a remake of the 33-year-old Christian classic from Mount Zion, also recorded an opening weekend gross of $120,660 in selected cinemas in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Co-produced by Mount Zion Film Productions, Sozo Films and Circuits, Agbara Nla: The Return was distributed internationally in Europe in partnership with IFEC.
Nile Entertainment General Manager, Nowe Segun-Ojo, had said the company’s performance reflected its distribution strategy since it began operations in August 2024.
