The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has postponed the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council (NCC) from Tuesday, October 20, to Monday, October 26, 2026.
The party attributed the change to the schedule of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who has an important engagement overseas.
The National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, Osa Director, Esq., announced the postponement in a statement issued on Monday, October 19, 2026.
According to the statement, the party leadership apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change of date and urged members and supporters to remain focused on its electoral objectives.

“The NDC Leadership has announced a new date for the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council (NCC) earlier slated for Tuesday, 20th October, 2026.
“The event will now be held on Monday, 26th October, 2026,” the statement said.
Explaining the reason for the postponement, Director said Obi’s overseas engagement conflicted with the original date.
The party urged its members and supporters to remain committed to securing victory for Obi and other NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.
The National Campaign Council is expected to coordinate the party’s campaign activities ahead of the elections.
