The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated the state’s support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Aiyedatiwa said his administration would support the campaign for “Ondo For Tinubu 2027.”
The governor disclosed this on Friday while playing host to the leadership of the Ondo State chapter of the City Boy Movement, a pro-Tinubu political group, at his office.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The group was led by its state coordinators, Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Tomide Akinribido.
Aiyedatiwa said the achievements of his administration in infrastructure, job creation, youth employment and other empowerment programmes would help garner support for Tinubu in the state.
“Our people are seeing and feeling the impact of good governance. From road projects to health, education, and empowerment, we are building a foundation that makes it easy to sell the Renewed Hope message in Ondo State.
“Every action we take that impact the people positively is a vote for the president. Every of the 6,000 jobs we have created is a vote for the president. Every road we build attract votes for the president. Every political appointment we make has multiplier effects that translate to more votes for the president.
“The President’s vision aligns with what we are doing here, and our people will reward that with their votes in 2027.”
Earlier, Ayejusunle thanked the governor for what he described as his exemplary leadership and for aligning Ondo State with the President’s agenda.
Reeling out the activities of the group since its establishment, he pledged that it would intensify grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation to ensure victory for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in 2027.
