The management of the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, Taraba State, has disowned a recruitment notice circulating on social media, describing it as false and fraudulent.
The purported announcement, titled “Federal Medical Center, Taraba State – Public Announcement,” invited members of the public to apply for the position of Mortuary Attendant.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Public Relations Unit of the centre, the management said the recruitment notice did not originate from the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo.
The centre therefore urged members of the public to disregard the announcement and warned them against contacting the telephone number provided in the fake notice, submitting personal information or making any payment in connection with the purported recruitment exercise.
“The Centre has neither authorised nor announced such recruitment through the circulating notice,” the statement read.
“Management advised the public to rely only on verified information released through the Centre’s official communication channels for recruitment and other official announcements,” the Public Relations Unit stated.
The centre said it was aware of the circulation of the fraudulent publication and would take appropriate steps to address the matter.
It also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and help prevent unsuspecting individuals from falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes.
