As competition intensifies in Nigeria’s telecommunications industry, Globacom is strengthening its nationwide dealer network by rewarding top-performing partners while unveiling new digital innovations designed to improve customer experience.
The company on Thursday honoured 115 outstanding dealers at its 2026 Glo Partners’ Reward Gala in Lagos, where millions of naira in cash prizes, vehicles and other incentives were presented to partners who excelled between January and June 2026.

The event highlighted Globacom’s strategy of using its extensive retail and distribution channels to drive subscriber growth and deepen customer loyalty at a time when operators are competing aggressively through improved network quality, digital services and value-driven products.
Speaking at the event, Abdul Rasaq Ande, Globacom’s cluster head, Lagos 2, described dealers as the foundation of the company’s business success.
“Our partners have, over the years, been the bedrock of the Globacom ecosystem, and their success is our success,” he said.
Reflecting on the company’s journey since launching commercial operations in August 2003, Ande said Globacom would continue investing heavily in modern telecommunications infrastructure.
“It has been 23 remarkable years of technological revolution, innovation and service excellence. Globacom’s promise remains unchanged. We will continue to invest heavily in next-generation technologies, upgrade our infrastructure and ensure that our network remains second to none,” he added.
Beyond recognising outstanding dealers, the company used the event to showcase products aimed at strengthening its position in Nigeria’s competitive telecom market.
Among the highlights was Gloria, an artificial intelligence-powered voice assistant integrated into the Glo Café digital platform. The solution supports six languages and is expected to improve customer engagement by providing faster and more personalised assistance.
Globacom also announced further expansion of its “Borrow Me Credit” service, allowing subscribers to stay connected even when they have exhausted their airtime balance.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to delivering more value to customers through its recently introduced “More Data More Value” proposition, which offers subscribers larger data benefits for every naira spent.
Industry observers say the combination of dealer incentives, AI-powered customer service and digital product innovation reflects how telecom operators are increasingly relying on technology and stronger distribution networks to retain customers in a highly competitive market.
The evening also celebrated Nigeria’s cultural diversity through the “Rep Your Region” Best Dressed Competition.
Alamin Muhammed Suleiman of Benjee Communication and Anthonia Agbasi of Chicadef Global Limited emerged winners in the male and female categories respectively, each receiving N500,000.
Entertainment was provided by singer Segun Johnson, comedian Gordons and television personality Moet Abebe, who hosted the event.

Speaking on behalf of the dealers, Ademola Akinlabi, managing director of Demmy Global Resources, alongside Yusuf Yahaya of Lambadaya Stores, commended Globacom for consistently recognising outstanding performance.
They noted that the company rewarded dealers across different categories with cash prizes worth millions of naira, vehicles and other incentives, describing the gesture as a strong motivation for partners to continue supporting the company’s growth.
The gala ended in the early hours of Friday, reinforcing Globacom’s message that strong partnerships, digital innovation and customer-focused services will remain central to its strategy as competition in Nigeria’s telecom sector continues to evolve.
