US billionaire, Elon Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, has announced the termination of a further 47 wasteful contracts worth $87.5 million.

DOGE disclosed this in a statement released on its X account on Thursday morning.

According to DOGE, among the cancelled contracts is a $3.4 million State Department management consulting contract for aviation advisors in Kenya.

The US agency noted that the cancellations have resulted in savings of $30.2million for the country.

“Agencies cancelled 47 wasteful contracts today with $87.5M ceiling value and $30.2M in savings, including a $3.4M @StateDept management consulting contract for “aviation advisors in Kenya”, DOGE stated on X.

This is coming less than 24 hours after DOGE terminated 80 wasteful contracts worth $203.6m.
