The federal government has expressed eagerness to strengthen Nigeria’s partnership with the United States of America.
In a congratulatory message to US President Donald Trump on Tuesday following his inauguration, the federal government reminded him of their cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest.
A statement issued by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa said Nigeria looks forward to strengthening the ties between both nations for the benefit of their people.
“Nigeria and the United States of America have enjoyed cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest, especially in the promotion of good governance, sustainable development, and the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
“Nigeria, therefore, looks forward to further strengthening our historic, strong, and vibrant strategic partnership for the benefit of all our people,” the statement partly reads.
