Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was received by President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja on Sunday.
Modi arrived in the country on Saturday and a reception was organised for him at the Forecourt of the Villa at about 10:20 am on Sunday.
The Indian PM was greeted with his country’s national anthem and then a Guard of Honour by a Brigade of Guards.
The Nigerian national anthem was also performed, with Modi inspecting the mounted parade. Afterwards, he was escorted by President Tinubu into the latter’s office for a closed-door meeting.
Tinubu and Modi are expected to discuss and reach an agreement on bilateral issues.
