The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has assured residents of adequate security across the territory during Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
Sanusi, in a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, congratulated residents on the anniversary and wished them a peaceful and memorable celebration on behalf of the officers and men of the Command.
He urged residents to reflect on the values of independence, particularly unity, peace, patriotism, and collective responsibility.

“The FCT cannot and will not be a lucrative playing field for criminal activities. Criminally minded persons are therefore advised to vacate the territory or desist from their unlawful activities, as the Command remains resolute in identifying, arresting, and bringing perpetrators to justice,” he said.
