Twenty-four hours after Wilson Iliya Yangye left the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the Southern Kaduna All Progressives Congress Unity Forum has urged the former ADC chieftain to return to the APC.
The forum made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and signed by its Publicity Secretary, Obadiah Tum Ezekiel, which was made available to journalists in Kaduna.
The group described Yangye’s decision to leave the ADC as significant, particularly as it came less than 24 hours after the unveiling of the party’s campaign structure in Kaduna State.
According to the forum, Yangye’s decision reflected concerns over what it described as a series of decisions by the Kaduna State ADC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru, and other ADC stakeholders that touched on the interests of critical stakeholders and sections of the state.
The forum alleged that the developments within the ADC were inconsistent with the principles of unity, inclusion, and fairness, which it said Yangye had consistently advocated.

It commended Yangye for what it described as a “principled decision” and called on him to return to the APC, which it described as his “original political home.”
The forum said Yangye’s political experience, extensive contacts, and mobilization capacity could contribute to the growth of the APC in Southern Kaduna and beyond.
It added that the APC’s organizational structure across the country provided a platform for experienced political actors to contribute to governance and political development.
The group further said Yangye’s political network and acceptability as a former APC senatorial aspirant could add value to the Tinubu/Shettima and Uba Sani/Jerry Adams tickets, as well as other APC candidates in Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State.
The Southern Kaduna APC Unity Forum called on political stakeholders to prioritize unity, inclusion, and collective purpose, while inviting those who share such values to join efforts towards the development of Kaduna State.
