Lagos State Governor and Chairman of the PBAT/HOK Campaign Council, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to unite and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sanwo-Olu, who spoke at the ongoing Lagos APC Campaign Council retreat at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos, said President Bola Tinubu had demonstrated leadership capacity in his three years in office.
He said the reforms introduced by the president had begun to transform the economy, urging party members to communicate the benefits of the policies to Nigerians.
The governor charged APC members to reach out to their families, friends and undecided voters to secure the party’s victory at the polls.
Sanwo-Olu also expressed confidence in Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, describing him as a loyal deputy who deserved the party’s support.
He said he had no regrets about working with Hamzat since 2019 and pledged to ensure his victory in the 2027 governorship election.
“I don’t regret working with Femi since 2019. He has been a loyal deputy throughout our eight-year journey. I have the responsibility to ensure his victory at the polls,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The governor urged party members to intensify their grassroots campaigns and set aside past grievances, stressing that unity and collective commitment were crucial to the APC’s success in 2027.
