The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters, known as the Integrity Group, Zamfara State, have warned against election rigging during the 2027 general elections, saying the polls will be extensively monitored across the state.
In a statement issued today in Gusau, the Integrity Group Chairman, Muhammad Lawal, acknowledged the NDC Zamfara State Chairman, Alhaji Surajo Garba Maikatako, for his role in building the party’s structure and grassroots mobilisation.

The NDC supporters group criticised Governor Dauda Lawal over what it described as poor leadership, saying Lawal possessed attributes that made him vulnerable to defeat in the 2027 elections in the state.
The group, therefore, backed former senator Kabiru Garba Marafa as the 2027 NDC governorship candidate in the state and criticized Governor Dauda Lawal over promises allegedly not fulfilled in the state.
The statement reads in parts: “The Integrity Group lauds Marafa’s record in the National Assembly; he is a colossus of integrity, a man of his word who has not failed his constituents.
“His support base is growing exponentially across the community, with voters pledging support without any inducement.
“We are critics of the present state government; they have failed to fulfill promises, and insecurity and economic hardship have all bedevilled the state.
