Ahead of the 2027 general election in the country, the Atiku Community Mobilisation Team Southeast says it’s fully prepared and ready to secure all votes cast for the party.
The Special Adviser (SA) to the ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on community mobilisation in the southeast, Hon Omega Odunze, disclosed this at a workshop organised by the Southeast Polling Unit Soldiers of ADC in Owerri, on Friday.
Odunze said that the group, Atiku Community Mobilisation Team movement for the ADC and Abubakar, was fully mobilised and is undergoing training.
He said that the group remained committed to free, fair elections where votes count, and voters are not suppressed.
According to him, the polling unit soldiers, upon completion of their training, would be deployed to represent the ADC in their respective units on election days.
He expressed confidence that with Abubakar’s antecedent as a pillar of national unity, and his youth-friendly manifesto, the party would emerge victorious at the presidential and other elections.
He said: “Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to review fuel subsidy removal with a view to easing its burden on Nigerians, and crashing food and production costs.
He said: “When elected, he has promised to revamp the economy by re-opening seaports in the south-south and land borders in the north, while tackling insecurity through job creation.
He assured the introduction of economic reforms that will attract both local and foreign investments that will directly tackle poverty and unemployment, and create jobs for Nigeria’s teeming youths.
Odunze added that the party remained committed to a peaceful process and urged the ruling All Progressives Congress to create the enabling environment for a violence-free exercise.
He said that Abubakar’s wealth of knowledge and experience would be brought to bear in the discharge of his duties, hence the need for Nigerians to rally support for his election.
He said: “This is not just about ambition, it is about experience, preparation and a deep understanding of Nigeria’s challenges and potential”.
