All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State says it will unveil the 2027 governorship election manifesto of its candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, on October 30.
Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, Director-General of the President Bola Tinubu-Kadri Hamzat Campaign Council, announced this at a news conference at the campaign office in Ikeja, on Sunday.
Obanikoro said the manifesto launch, scheduled to hold at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, would present Hamzat’s vision and development priorities for Lagos.

He said the campaign’s central message was continuity, shared progress and inclusive development, with emphasis on improving residents’ quality of life.
According to him, the manifesto will address critical sectors, including transportation, housing, infrastructure, healthcare, security, environmental management and human capital development.
“Continuity is not about doing things the same way simply because they have been done before.
“It is about building on what works, correcting what needs improvement and developing new solutions to emerging challenges,” he said.
Obanikoro said Lagos, with its growing population and cosmopolitan character, required a development agenda that recognised the different needs of its residents and communities.
He said the manifesto aimed to promote equal opportunities regardless of gender, social status, background or location, while ensuring that no community was left behind.
The campaign director-general said Hamzat’s experience as a three-time commissioner and current Deputy Governor of Lagos State would inform his approach to consolidating existing development projects and addressing emerging challenges.
He said the campaign would prioritise policies that support economic growth, attract investment, encourage innovation and strengthen public services.
Obanikoro said the proposed agenda would also take into account the needs of Lagos’ diverse population, adding that development policies must reflect the realities of different communities rather than adopt a one-size-fits-all approach.
He disclosed that consultations had been held with traditional rulers, religious leaders, market women, traders, youths, professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that their concerns informed the proposed development priorities.
According to him, the manifesto will be made available for public download after its presentation to enable residents examine the proposals and provide constructive feedback.
Obanikoro said the launch would be broadcast live from 3 pm to 5 pm, with coverage across television and the campaign’s digital platforms.
He urged party members and other stakeholders to participate in the process, saying the manifesto would outline the campaign’s proposed policy direction for the state.
