The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly luring a seven-year-old girl into an uncompleted building, having unlawful sexual intercourse with her and dispossessing her of two mobile phones in Darazo.
The arrest followed a complaint lodged on September 6, 2026, at about 4:30 p.m. by the girl’s 37-year-old father, a resident of Kari village in Darazo Local Government Area.
He reported that, on the same date at about 8 a.m., his daughter was on her way to a neighbouring house with two Android phones of the same make, Tecno A31, when one Isiyaku Usman, 20, of the same address, allegedly lured her into a nearby uncompleted building, robbed her of the phones and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.
Upon receipt of the complaint, detectives swiftly swung into action and arrested the suspect in possession of the stolen phones.
