Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has supervised the distribution of N221,760,000 in money, meals objects and wrappers to over 67,454 weak residents of Ngala Native Authorities Space of the state.
The distribution befell at 5 centres in Gamboru, Wulgo and Ngala, the main communities housing hundreds of internally displaced individuals.
The train began on Sunday with 44,352 ladies beneficiaries every receiving N5,000 in money and a wrapper, whereas 23,102 male heads of households every received one bag of rice and one bag of maize grain on Monday.
“Yesterday (Sunday), we distributed non-food objects to about 44,352 ladies in Ngala Native Authorities Space. Every of them acquired N5,000 and a wrapper. This morning (Monday), we’re distributing meals objects to 23,103 male heads of households. Every of them will obtain one bag of rice and one bag of maize to cushion their hardship,” Zulum mentioned.
The governor expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for supporting the Borno State Authorities with donation of about 10,000 luggage of rice by means of the Nigerian Customs Service.
The governor was accompanied by the senator representing Borno Central, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan, a member Home of Representatives, Engr Bukar Talba and a member of the Home of Meeting representing Ngala constituency, Hon Bukar Abatcha.
