Zamfara State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Hon. Abdul Malik Abubakar has revealed that the future of the state is prosperous, saying N158 billion was generated at the end of second quarter in the state.
Addressing newsmen on Tuesday evening in his office, Hon. Abdul Malik Abubakar while presenting state government performance for the second quarter, disclosed that there was improvement in revenue generation in the first and second quarters of this year in the state.
According to him, the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal’s rescue mission has begun to yield results with improved performance in the second quarter of this year in the state.
“There was an improvement on revenue generation from 1 to 2 quarter of this year which at end of the year,we are hoping to increase to over 70 percent”. He prayed.
He maintained that the present administration rescue mission was bent on accountability in spending the state government resources.
“Every expenses and spending was inline with the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal promised on Rescue mission”.
The Commissioner disclosed further that the sum of N158 billion was generated in the second quarter and that only N34 billion was spent at the end of the second quarter in the state.
“There is prosperous future for the state. At the end of the second quarter we are able to generate N158 billion which is a remarkable achievements compare to previous administration in the state”.
