Youths in Ogun State have lauded the 10th Ogun State chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Olóyè Akolawole Shoremi, as a visionary and inspiring leader following his contributions towards the empowerment of youths in his domain.
In an open letter titled ‘Celebrating Olóyè Akolawole Shoremi: A Selfless Leader and Youth Advocate,’ and made available to the media on Wednesday, heads of different youth organisations in the state lauded Shoremi and expressed their pleasure in celebrating the birthday of an exceptional leader and advocate for youth development.
“As Olóyè adds another year on March 7, on behalf of the youth constituency, we commemorate and express our utmost appreciation for his invaluable contributions towards empowering the youth of our great state.
“Under Olóyè’s leadership, the National Youth Council of Nigeria is making tremendous strides towards realising the youth council of our dreams. His working document tagged the Progressive Pentagon, which outlines key areas of focus for youth development in the state, showcases his commitment to creating a better future for the young people in Ogun State.
“Within hundred days in office, Olóyè’s vision and dedication to the youth constituency is yielding results in enhanced educational opportunities, improved sporting ideals, agricultural advancements, increased job prospects, and empowerment initiatives currently providing our young people with the tools to succeed.
“In addition to his responsibilities as the youth leader of Ogun State, Olóyè selflessly serves as the coordinator for the Ogun State Taskforce on Human Trafficking. In this capacity, he works tirelessly alongside the Ogun State Government and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to combat trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants. His efforts highlight his dedication to eradicating this heinous crime and protecting the rights and well-being of we young people.
“Therefore, on this special day, we, the youth stakeholders of Ogun State, take this opportunity to celebrate the youth leader of our state — Olóyè Akolawole Shoremi — as we commend him for his selfless service, inspiring leadership, and unwavering commitment to youth development.
