Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has said Enzo Fernandez highlighted Chelsea’s lack of “togetherness” in their 1-0 loss to Liverpool in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
Virgil van Dijk headed in an extra-time winner as Jurgen Klopp’s side won their first trophy of the season.
But Fernandez had a great chance to give the Blues the lead early in the second half.
However, the Argentine midfielder attempted a backheel from six yards, instead of laying it off to Raheem Sterling or Cole Palmer, who were both free.
“You rightly mentioned the backheel from Enzo in the box, in a final, you lay it to someone and they score a tap-in, it’s what a team does, when you’re playing for a team.
“For him to not do that just shows where they are at the moment, they’re all over the place,” Wright said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show.
