Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has expressed support for suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan amidst her sexual assault allegations against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Ezekwesili took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle in an open letter addressed to Akpoti-Uduaghan.
She wrote, “Not only your trusted and loyal Kogi Central Constituency stands with you for your stoicism and courageous service that deepen our Democracy and nation-building. We do!

“There are millions of reasonable Nigerians and other people around the world who are inspired by your strength of conviction and are continuing to stand with you until Justice is served.”
In the letter, the former Minister of Education professed her support for Natasha to remain in office as a “legitimately elected Senator” in the face of the alleged injustice and affirmed that she has a right to a fair Senate hearing through an Independent Panel on her allegation against the Senate President.
“You have a right to @NGRSenate Fair Hearing through an Independent Panel on your allegation against @Senator_Akpabio .
“You have no reason to be outside your office as a legitimately elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Your unjust suspension must be immediately terminated by the Nigerian Senate so you resume duties to your people and the nation.
“Therefore always remember that:
“You. Can. Never. Walk. Alone.
“The injustice being done you will surely not be sustained, Madam Senator.
“You are a trooper!”
